Do dental implants hurt?

FAQs with Bill Schaeffer

Most patients say that having a dental implant placed is much less of a procedure for them than having the tooth removed in the first place. Usually, it's done with a normal dental local anaesthetic to ensure that it is completely painless for you. For any patients that are particularly nervous, we offer the option of having sedation, which makes the entire procedure comfortable and painless. And you usually don't remember very much of it afterwards.
