Denice’s Patient Story: Full Arch Implant Treatment
Denice shares her experience having full-arch implant treatment at The Implant Centre, from tooth & bone loss caused by severe gum disease to a newly restored confidence and life-changing relief.

On the Monday morning, we had to take our lovely dog to the vet's to be put down, she'd been ill. Then, on the Friday, I went to The Implant Centre to have the vast majority of my teeth taken out. So it wasn't the greatest week I've ever had. Here I am a year later, and we've almost gone in a full circle because my teeth are wonderful and I've now got two new dogs.
My dentist told me that some of my teeth were getting loose, but I didn't realise at that point what the seriousness could be, ultimately. We were on holiday in Spain with some friends, and my husband was saying to me, “You know, your breath is really terrible”, and I was laughing, saying it's all the food and the prosciutto and stuff. And he was saying “No, I don't think this is more than that”.
On the weekend we came back, I had the most raging toothache I've ever had. I went to the dentist on the following Monday, and he had to take the tooth out, it was that bad. The biggest shock came when I got to The Implant Centre, and they told me it was so bad I was beyond having implants.
I subsequently got an appointment with Bill, and he had come up with a potential plan. He told me straight what the potential outcome for me would be of doing nothing, and what the two options were. My choice was dentures or go along with what Bill was recommending, which entailed having all my back teeth on the bottom taken out too, because they too were very badly affected by gum disease.
He was very clear in showing us all the X-rays and pointing out how difficult the process was going to be for them, and he laid out the cost. What I don't have now is any nervousness in the back of my mind about what might happen. I mean, just that alone is just totally life-changing.
