Deborah’s Patient Story: Single-Tooth Implant Treatment

Deborah shares her experience of having single-tooth implant treatment at The Implant Centre, from successful periodontal treatment to needing a dental implant with worry-free expert care.

For a long time, I found I was getting increasingly sensitive teeth to the point where eventually it wasn't just ice cream and very cold things, but I couldn't even drink very hot tea. So, fortunately, I was referred to Sarah Diedrich at the Implant Centre. And then through several appointments and treatments with her, my sensitivity diminished.
And amazingly, now it doesn't impact what I eat or drink at all. As a nutritionist, I spend my time talking to people about their diets and trying to optimise their health. So, my health and the health of my teeth and mouth are all part and parcel of that.
One day, stupidly, I ate a toffee, and it pulled out a filling in quite a large tooth at the back. When I went to find out what my options were from my dentist, it was basically to just simply lose the tooth and have a gap, to have a denture there or to have an implant. An implant was the route I decided to take.
If anybody has ever had root canal work in their tooth, the procedure of having an implant is nothing compared to how bad that is. This was so simple, that's the amazing thing.

If I'd had a problem, I would have known exactly who to contact. And so, I felt that I had such confidence in their abilities. I think they really are experts in their field. And I felt that from beginning to end.
